Our Impact

Over the next decade, The Give to Learn to Grow foundation’s primary focus will be on children aged 0-18 living in the nomadic areas of East Africa; starting in small villages such as Las Anod, and Sool region. Thus far, we have implemented programs to provide the children of Las Anod resources to access quality education and opportunities to make a successful transition to an independent, healthy adulthood, and a brighter future for the community - at large.

Education is the key to inspire children to make positive change within their communities.

Our Programs

Education is a fundamental human right. Children regardless of their country of origin should have the opportunity to go to school. A good education is crucial to the personal development of individuals, and their societies as a whole. When all children within a community have equal opportunity to get educated, it can cultivate positive change and growth.

1. LIBRARY

This space will serve as an educational facility. It will be a welcoming space where under-served children will have access to books, technology, and local instructors.

3. MATH & LITERACY

Literacy and math classes will be conducted daily for children and youth to bring them up to grade level and keep them on track with requirements for their age groups.

5. EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE TRAINING

Our program teaches kids emotional intelligence: how to recognize feelings, understand where they come from, and how to deal with them. Self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills training are reviewed in classroom curriculum. Kids also learn how to practice happy habits, and meditation, in order to thrive

2. Workshops

Led by trained staff and volunteers on the latest computers with software programs that will provide participants with the 21st century technological skills to build competency and seed innovation.

4. ART CLASSES

Art classes will be held as an outlet for children to express their feelings and unlock their artistic potential. Artists will offer drawing and painting events where children can get in touch with their creativity.

6. SERVICE

Service learning teaches kids empathy while giving them an educational experience. Through service learning, students get a chance to give back to their communities and discover how they can make a difference.
