Continuing his Legacy

This past weekend we honoured Mukhtar Nalayeh's memory by participating in the (MJRH) Outreach Van Program, which provides immediate relief and referrals to people facing homelessness, poverty, and hardship.

Throughout his life, Mukhtar dedicated his life to social justice; his experience of being a newcomer to Canada in the 80s and their reliance on social services contributed to Mukhtar's strong values in making a difference in people's lives. Together with MJRH, Mukhtar Nalayeh provided for and uplifted hundreds of thousands of people who have been marginalized by poverty and homelessness.

Give to Learn to Grow foundation sponsored the vans, fully equipped with necessities to visit several locations in downtown Toronto and Scarborough, where they handed out supplies, including nutritious meals, clothing, sleeping bags, hygiene kits, harm reduction kits, hot coffee, and other goods.

We are incredibly thankful we got to work with Ve'ahavta, a Jewish humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting positive change in the lives of people of all faiths and backgrounds who have been marginalized by poverty and hardship.

Thank you for honouring Mukhtar Nalayeh with us and keeping his memory alive through positive change.
