  • Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the tallest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.

  • The last major volcanic eruption was 360,000 years ago and the last volcanic activity occurred 200 years back,

  • Since 1912, Kilimanjaro has lost 82% of its ice cap,

  • 35,000 people attempt climbing Kilimanjaro each year, of which only two-thirds are usually successful. This is mostly due to altitude-related problems, forcing some climbers to turn back.

To confirm your place on the trip, you must register and submit a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of US$500. The balance of trip payment (trip cost minus the $500 deposit) is due no later than 40 days before departure.
